BT Business offers a "digital first" app and portal experience to customers, enabling them to view their account usage, pay and download their bills. In addition, users can purchase extras such as Apple Music.

From the business' perspective, there are only 2 types of charges, monthly recurring or out of allowance. The first thing was to categorise charges based on how customers understand what they are being charged for.
Using the categories above, we were able to design a better experience within the app and portal that customers can understand. In addition, we had to design a way to show the correct information around the legacy backend that billing is based on.
With the foundation laid out, we were able to accurately design an good user experience that also reflects what the business' offers.
